COLORADO REGIONAL SKI FOR LIGHT

Dear Ski For Light Friends,

It is a pleasure to invite you to the 2009 Colorado Regional Ski For Light weekend! The event is scheduled for January 22nd - 24th 2010 at Snow Mountain Ranch in Granby, CO. Once again we will be lodging at the YMCA cabins, skiing from the front doors of our cabin!

Ski for Light was founded in 1975 to introduce people with varying degrees of visual and mobility impairments to cross country skiing. Since then guides and skiers have come together each year to enjoy skiing and socializing at their best. Ski for Light aims to provide the opportunity for people to participate in an invigorating physical activity. Emphasis is placed on recreational skiing as a means toward a more enjoyable and healthy way of life. 

The cost for the weekend is $89.00. This includes your lodging, meals; trail pass, and ski rental (if needed). If we need to arrange transportation for you, there is an additional $20.00 cost. Meals are provided for Friday evening, all of Saturday, plus breakfast and lunch on Sunday.

If you would like to participate in this year's event, please return your completed application and check, made payable to Colorado Regional Ski For Light no later than December 22, 2009 to:

Please note:  Space for this event is limited so we can only reserve a spot for you when we receive your application and $89.00 payment. (Applicants accepted will be notified by mail, email or phone no later than January 8, 2010.)

PLEASE NOTE:  First time guides MUST attend guide training on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Snow Mountain Ranch or at some other arranged time.

NO EXCEPTIONS.  (If you have attended International Ski For Light guide training you are exempt from doing the training)

• PARTIAL STIPENDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR GUIDES AND SKIERS ON A LIMITED BASIS.
• SNOWSHOES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR USE FOR THOSE INTERESTED AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO CROSS COUNTRY SKIING.
